OLIVE OFFERS A BRANCH OF HOPE IN THE HOUSE BUYING JUNGLE
A revolutionary new service aimed at taking the strain out of house buying has just moved into Oxford.
Olive, based in Oxford, offers a completely unique opportunity to cut out the horrors of house buying by offering a one-stop-shop to manage the whole process.
The idea is that people looking to buy in the City of Dreaming Spires are teamed up with their own ‘Olive Contact’ who does everything from sorting out the Home Information Pack, organising house viewings, fixing up the mortgage broker and expert local conveyancer right through to arranging the removal company.
A bit like a wedding planner, the Olive Contact, for a fee of between £200 and £400, becomes the lifeline for the house buyer, taking on all the frustrating and time-consuming tasks such as chasing up on the progress of surveys and, most crucially, retaining daily contact with estate agents and solicitors to help achieve the all-important Exchange at the earliest opportunity.
The brainchild of brothers Simon and Martin Henley, Olive was conceived following their own frustrations in the house buying game.
Simon said: “I found the whole process of buying my house totally exasperating and it didn't suprise me in the least to find that my experience was actually incredibly common. I felt very strongly that there had to be an easier and less stressful way to do it and so the idea of Olive was born.
“Most people buying houses have very busy lives and find it difficult to find the time to do all the time-consuming tasks that come hand in hand with buying a property.
“We do all that for the client. We understand the hassles involved and are here to make house buyers’ lives easier. By tying the process together and managing it, we can make any house purchase simpler, cheaper and less stressful. We deal with all the tricky and frustrating tasks allowing the house buyer to sit back, relax and look forward to their new home,” he added.
